Spring is our busiest season here at KPWB and we have a lot of exciting events coming up. One of these is our Annual Route 1 Clean Sweep! We are thrilled to announce that this year’s clean sweep will take place on Saturday, April 18th. This event is part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Spring Cleanup Campaign, which is the nation’s largest community improvement program. Keep America Beautiful relies on its affiliates to launch service projects based on the personalized needs of each of their communities. Overall, the Great American Cleanup volunteers’ work adds up to an average of $175 million in measurable benefits. At least year’s Route 1 Clean Sweep we collected 1,920 pounds of litter, debris, and recyclables and broke our clean sweep record in Prince William County.
