Prince William Forest Park on September 17th, from 11 am to 5pm, celebrated the historical imprint the park has left in America as a colonial-era farmland. Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) came to the celebration, to help the community enjoy the celebration and festivities. Prince William Forest Park is one of KPWB’s program partners for The Environmental Leadership Academy.

The day was filled with so much history and fun. There was live music from the Early Grove String Band and the Grassland Blue Grass Band. There were World War II memories (at the World War II memories one could learn about how the park was a secret training area of the World War II spy agency), and games. While there KPWB gained exposure for their non-profit organization and reached about 300 people with their programs. Some of the programs they reached people about were the Community Cleanups, Adopt a spot and Litter Surveys.
