2022 RiverFest & Craft Show
We are thrilled to be cultivating this dynamic new craft show which also celebrates the historic town’s natural beauty along the Occoquan River.
For over 50 years, Occoquan has hosted the popular Arts & Crafts Show in our historic riverfront town. This year, we are expanding the festival by adding on-the-water activities, a beer & wine garden, and concert series, and bringing a strong focus on environmental protections with Conservation Alley.
Like the traditional Fall Arts & Crafts Show, RiverFest will host 200+ vendors along Mill Street. Artisans, crafters, local merchants, and food vendors will line the streets as we kick off summer in Occoquan.
River Mill Park, with its spectacular views of the river, will be the venue for our RiverFest concerts, food, and adult beverages. With ample seating, this is the perfect spot to take a break and grab a drink and something tasty.
In addition, families and scout troops will enjoy the kid-friendly and educational Jr. Passport program in Conservation Alley in the center of town. Preservation vendors will discuss sustainability, recycling, and the importance of protecting our river ecosystem. Kids won’t want to miss the climbing rock wall and other hands-on art and science activities-perfect for all ages.
Those longing to get out on the water will have their opportunity at RiverFest with kayak and stand-up paddleboard availability all weekend. Spectators can watch a SUP and kayak race Saturday morning and a river clean-up is also planned.
This year, we are providing to all patrons a free multipage color booklet to navigate the festival, providing highlights, schedules, and maps. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities can be found here.
Whether you are new our shows in Occoquan, or you have visited us for many years, we are pleased to welcome you to our spring event! Stay tuned for more details, and mark your calendars for June 4 & 5!
