Trail and Outdoor Classroom Repair
Dale City Elementary has a trail and outdoor classroom that needs attention. As well as installing a new outdoor classroom farther down the trail. We are looking for volunteers for multiple events, since clearing the trail and installing the classrooms will require more than one day.
On May 13th from 9am to 2pm we will focus on clearing the trail and removing vegetation around the areas of the outdoor classrooms. We are looking for volunteers that can bring their own tools and/or are comfortable with handling any of these tools: shovel, mattock, rogue hoe, chainsaw (must be certified and use swamper – safety person to watch sawyer), hand saws, loppers, weedeater (string and blade attachment), DR Mower. For safety reasons we cannot allow any minors to join in this first event. All volunteers must sign a Keep Prince William Beautiful Volunteer Waiver before conducting any work at this event. Lunch and water will be provided, please bring your own water bottle if you can.
