Virginia Cooperative Extensions will host Celia Vuoculo, Private Lands Biologist, Quail Forever and USDA-NRCS for a presentation on Pollen Specialist Bees, some of the most at-risk bees on the planet. There are around 90 species of specialist bees in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast, and despite a growing call to increase research and conservation efforts, there are still many species that remain a mystery. Join Celia for an illuminating talk about these fascinating bees and their unique floral preferences and behaviors and learn what you can do to support them at home.
