As part of its mission to promote environmental stewardship in the Town of Dumfries, Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) has partnered with the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC Omniride) and the Town of Dumfries (Town) to facilitate the creation of, approve, and install public art and to provide litter control services to designated OMNIRIDE bus shelters throughout the Town (Project). The goal of this Project is to foster a unique sense of place in each community served. This Project will improve the community and ridership experience by providing dedicated and consistent litter removal and the installation of public artwork that contributes to the interest and aesthetic appeal of designated bus shelters across the Town.
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks artists to create public art for designated OMNIRIDE bus shelters throughout the Town of Dumfries with the theme of “CLEAN COMMUNITIES, CLEAN WATERWAYS.” Artists or Artist Teams are invited to submit qualifications to be considered to participate in the public art opportunities described herein.
