Young leaders with passion for environment to convene at Prince William Forest National Park May 25-26
 
Woodbridge, Va. – Keep Prince William Beautiful, Prince William County’s leading non-profit environmental action organization, kicks off the 2017 Environmental Youth Leadership Academy at Prince William Forest National Park this Thursday, May 25th. The innovative youth leadership academy focuses on the solutions, teamwork, and problem solving of the next generation toward realizing Keep Prince William Beautiful’s vision of clean, green communities being healthy, prosperous, beautiful ones.
“We look forward to bringing together young leaders to engage the next generation in leading the work we must do to keep our communities clean, green, healthy, and beautiful places to live, work, and play,” said Jason Parsons, KPWB Executive Director, “We appreciate community partners such as Virginia Water and Wetlands, the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia and others for helping make this Academy possible.”
The academy curriculum will focus on water quality, parks preservation, litter control, and community service. Academy participants will take part in campfire cooking, team building, archery, as well as a service project.
