Adopt A Shelter

Many bus shelters throughout the County can be adopted- reach out to us if you need help deciding on a shelter to adopt. Adoptee’s will submit artwork themes, designs or concepts to the steering committee for review and approval and further agree to maintain their Shelter by keeping it free of litter and debris on an ongoing basis with a one year commitment. Shelter cleanup maintenance takes approximately 30 mintes per cleanup, including the time it takes to file a cleanup report. Call for Artists RFQ 22.362243

As part of its mission to promote environmental stewardship in the Town of Dumfries, Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) has partnered with the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC Omniride) and the Town of Dumfries (Town) to facilitate the creation of, approve, and install public art and to provide litter control services to designated OMNIRIDE bus shelters throughout the Town (Project). The goal of this Project is to foster a unique sense of place in each community served. This Project will improve the community and ridership experience by providing dedicated and consistent litter removal and the installation of public artwork that contributes to the interest and aesthetic appeal of designated bus shelters across the Town.
