Keep Prince William Beautiful Announces Winner of 2013 Recycle-Bowl Competition

Prince William County, Virginia: After months of competition, Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) is proud to announce Henderson Elementary School as the winner of the 2013 Recycle- Bowl. The Recycle-Bowl was held in conjunction with Keep American Beautiful (KAB) and Prince William County Schools. The purpose of the Recycle-Bowl is to create and strengthen existing recycling programs in schools through friendly competition.

In conjunction with the Recycle-Bowl competition and KPWB’s commitment to its Educational Outreach Program, KPWB Educational Toolkits were provided to all participating schools.  Toolkits included recycling education consistent with the Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning (SOL) Curriculum Frameworks.

As the winner of the 2013 Recycle-Bowl, Henderson Elementary School will receive a $500 prize from KPWB. Over the course of the competition, Henderson Elementary recycled 6086.52 pounds of would-be trash at their school.
